Work Shifts 8:00 A.M - 4:00 P.M Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide administrative support to the Chairman and Associate Director of the Department of Medicine.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Senior Executive Secretary's is responsible for the administrative tasks within the Department of Medicine by providing the necessary support to achieve determined goals.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide high-level direct support to Chairman & Senior Associate Director Coordinate departmental meetings Manage LOA for the department Manage CME for the department Answer telephones and emails Manage executive schedules Prepare reports, spreadsheets, letters, memos, etc File and retrieve personnel file and other departmental files Prepare agendas for meetings Process NYU payroll Assist in the on boarding (credentialing & re-credentialing) of providers Work on special projects (Physician Time Studies, ETIN, mandatory in-services, etc ) Assist in the preparation of provider evaluations Other tasks are assigned
Minimum Qualifications 1. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in Secretarial Science, Office Administration or Technology, Business Administration or related areas of study and three (3) years of executive administrative assistant experience; or,
2. High school diploma or its educational equivalent, approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization and five (5) years of experience, as described in "1" above; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent. A
Bachelor's degree may be considered equivalent to four (4) years of relevant professional experience as described in "1" above.
