Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

School Administration Building

M-F from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

37.5 hours/week 12-months/year

Qualifications:
  • Successful experience in a customer service position
  • Enjoy working with the public to help answer wide-ranging questions or concerns
  • Technical skills include basic proficiency with Google Applications, Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn user-friendly software packages
  • Ability to use tact and discretion in carrying out duties of a highly confidential nature
  • Ability to accurately receive and transmit messages
  • Ability to handle multiple activities effectively
  • Organizational skills to support projects requiring the use of office equipment including copiers, and postage meters
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming phone calls and process them accordingly
  • Greet all visitors to the building in a welcoming manner
  • Provide basic public information to callers and attempt to answer questions or concerns
  • Provide basic support to staff with employee self-service systems
  • Process and maintain work permits
  • Receive and sort incoming mail, postage machine, and outgoing mail; and from time to time drop mail off at the US Post Office
  • Filing
  • Special Projects (all offices)
  • Purchase Orders
  • General questions for employment applications
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent's Office.

Salary: In accordance with non-union contract
