What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle-from pipeline generation through close and expansion-meeting or exceeding a personal revenue quota.
- Engage VP/C level data & engineering executives, guiding them through a consultative, value based evaluation.
- Build deep expertise in Granica's compression, cost optimization, and AI data curation capabilities-and map them to customer pain.
- Drive structured PoCs for workloads on Snowflake, Databricks Lakehouse, S3/GCS/ADLS data lakes, Apache Iceberg/Delta Lake/Hudi tables, Hive on Spark, Trino/Presto, Redshift, BigQuery, and beyond.
- Navigate champions through budgeting, security, legal, and procurement in complex, multi stakeholder sales.
- Craft account plans to land, expand, and renew multi year agreements.
What we're looking for
- 6+ years of quota carrying enterprise SaaS/PaaS sales focused on data platform, lakehouse, or cloud warehouse technologies.
- Proven success beating quota selling Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Starburst, Dremio, Confluent, or similar.
- Fluent understanding of Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hive on Spark, Trino/Presto, S3 based data lakes, FinOps, and data pipeline cost drivers.
- Existing, referenceable network of VP+ data, analytics, and engineering leaders in Fortune 1000 cloud data estates.
- Ability to build executive business cases that quantify ROI (storage & compute savings, pipeline acceleration).
- Professional, consultative approach with sharp commercial instincts and high deal discipline.
- Comfortable collaborating with Forward Deployed Engineers to scope architecture and integrate with Spark, EMR, Dataproc, or Snowflake workloads.
Compensation
OTE: $280,000 - $320,000 (base + commission) plus meaningful equity. Uncapped accelerators for over achievement.
