The Highland Lakes YMCA is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and dependable Group Fitness Instructors with an emphasis in Zumba. A background in teaching Zumba, Dance, Group Fitness is preferred, but not necessary. We offer excellent training and pay. Immediate openings are available for qualified individuals.

We are offering $250 bonus for new staff.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Teach fitness class as formatted by the Fitness Director
  • Maintain class attendance minimums
  • Actively promote programs and classes
  • Commitment to the purpose of the YMCA of Central Texas
Job Requirements:
  • Group Exercise Certification preferred, but not required
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess High school diploma or equivalent
  • Be willing and able to work a variety of shifts, on weekends, and some evenings
  • Must be reliable with a good attendance record
  • Have a neat appearance and be well-groomed
  • Have a good knowledge of fitness and wellness
  • Be friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, possess a cooperative attitude, and be a team player
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations
  • Be willing to uphold the YMCA's core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire
  • Be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender check
Pay Rate: $18.00 to $19.00/hr
