Job Description About Us: Zoho produces cloud-based solutions for small, medium, and large businesses. Over the past 25 years, our portfolio has grown from a single online word-processing tool to a comprehensive suite of apps that covers an industry-leading range of use cases. With 60+ products on offer-and even more in the pipeline-Zoho is a powerful, integrated business management system.
Zoho isn't your average tech company. Privately held and deeply committed to solving problems through global collaboration, our organization believes in experimentation, iteration, and following your instincts. With US headquarters in Austin, TX and global headquarters in Chennai, India (as well as offices in Silicon Valley, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, China, and the Netherlands) we work across time zones, continents, languages and cultures to share Zoho's message with stakeholders, employees, and users on six continents.
Job Summary: As a Business Solutions Consultant on the Concierge Team, you will be the first point of contact for businesses exploring Zoho's offerings or seeking guidance in navigating the broader business software landscape. This role is service-oriented, designed to help businesses identify their operational needs and recommend appropriate tools-whether within Zoho's extensive suite or from third-party solutions.
You will engage with businesses at varying stages of their journey, from startups to established organizations looking to optimize operations. Through thoughtful conversations, you'll understand their processes, goals, and pain points, and guide them toward solutions that meet their unique needs.
This role bridges exploration and execution, often qualifying interested businesses for deeper engagement with sales or technical teams. The Concierge Team also serves as a central hub, routing inquiries to the appropriate teams within Zoho as needed.
Key Responsibilities: - Consultative Guidance: Engage with businesses to understand their operational challenges, goals, and processes. Offer tailored recommendations on Zoho's applications-or external tools when appropriate-to address their needs.
- Process Evaluation: Assist businesses in identifying inefficiencies in their current workflows and suggest software solutions to improve their operations.
- Solution Exploration: Provide a high-level overview of Zoho's suite, highlighting products relevant to the customer's industry and objectives.
- Referral to Experts: Route inquiries requiring detailed technical advice, troubleshooting, or account management to the appropriate teams within Zoho.
- Knowledge Building: Stay up-to-date on Zoho's expanding portfolio and the broader business software landscape to provide comprehensive guidance.
- Follow-Up Coordination: Qualify leads for the sales team when businesses express interest in a deeper exploration of Zoho's solutions.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as an advocate for prospective and current customers by ensuring their needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
Qualifications: - Strong understanding of business operations and workflows across industries, with the ability to relate to challenges that businesses face in sales, operations, and finance.
- Willingness to report to the office in-person 5 days a week.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-first mindset.
- Ability to distill complex processes into simple recommendations and articulate the value of business software.
- Familiarity with Zoho applications or similar SaaS ecosystems (Salesforce, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.).
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a proactive approach to learning new tools and workflows.
- Preferred: Experience in business consulting, customer success, or a similar advisory role.
- Preferred: Exposure to CRM, ERP, or operational software tools and their use cases.
What you should know about Zoho before applying - Zoho is and will always be a privately held company because we prefer to focus on customers and employees rather than shareholders. That means prospective employees should not join Zoho in pursuit of a large, lump-sum payout or lavish stock options.
- Our ideal candidate is looking to build a long-term career at Zoho. In exchange, we clear space for people to grow and progress within our organization, offering the freedom to explore new passions and expand areas of responsibility and ownership. Candidates who are looking for a short-term gig are discouraged from applying.
- Zoho rewards independent self-starters who can learn on the job. Rather than structuring work around daily feedback or tightly managed performance metrics, we prefer to give employees a high degree of freedom, but in exchange, they must be motivated to drive their own success actively. We do not micromanage, but we don't hand hold either.
