About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Yard Care Maintenance Crew Lead to join our team. This is a

hands-on, physical labor position that involves leading a small crew in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for our residential and commercial clients. You will need a minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance and be comfortable pruning plants common to the Seattle area by hand.


The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, takes pride in high-quality work, and is capable of physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and navigating stairs with equipment. A valid driver's license is required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small maintenance crew (typically 2-3 people) on daily service routes.
  • Perform and oversee tasks such as:
  • Pruning, trimming, and shaping plants by hand.
  • Lawn mowing, edging, blowing, and weeding.
  • Seasonal cleanups and mulching.
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and friendly manner when needed.
  • Ensure all work meets Seattle Sustainable Landscapes' standards of quality and safety.
  • Safely drive company vehicle to job sites throughout the Seattle area.
  • Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance or Landscape Horticultural Degree.
  • Proficient in hand-pruning plants common to the Seattle area.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and carry equipment upstairs and across uneven terrain.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a crew efficiently.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Compensation & Benefits:
