Summary
Responsible for managing and maintaining the Xfinity Wi-Fi platform.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning
- Participate in design of new features and enhancements to existing the configuration and policy flow with key stakeholders.
- Develop code for new features, policy flows, and protocols within the platform.
- Manage and maintain various profiles and models in support of different types of customers.
- Support and optimize performance of current infrastructure to maximize efficiency, capacity, reliability, and security.
- Implementation and Configuration.
- Define and socialize standard procedures for network installation, maintenance, and operations: create detailed MOPs.
- Follow the change management process for creation, implementation, validation, and completion using.
- Participate in development of automation to streamline processes.
- Manage and maintain hardware and network configurations for LAB, pre-prod, and production environments.
- Plan and implement hardware, network upgrades, and expansions.
Experience/Knowledge:
- Protocols - RADIUS, DIAMETER, EAP TTLS/TLS/GTC: secure profiles, certs, and keys, SOAP, SSH, UDP, TCP, SFTP, SCP
- L2 and TCP/IP Networking, IPv4/IPV6, MAC addressing - MAC randomization, Captive Portal integration
- Coding skills - Java, Javascript, Perl
- Linux - Intermediate, CentOS preferred.
- Tools - Grafana, Wireshark, Zabbix, Splunk
- Scripting/Automation - Bash, Ansible
- Database/Streaming - SQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka
- Hardware - Client or Dell: physical server configuration, monitoring, management, and alerting
- F5 Load balancers and VIPs - configuration, monitoring, management, and alerting
