Job Summary:
We are seeking an X-RAY Technologist to join our team at JUST X-RAYS. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. This role requires the ability to operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures to produce high quality images of the body.
Exhibit a high degree of tact, courtesy, and poise, explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians.
Adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required.
Prepare images for reading by radiologists, ensuring proper identification and quality control.
Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
Performs other related duties as necessary.
Requirements:
AART
Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California)
Certified Radiologic Technologist - Fluoroscopy Certificate (California)
Basic Life Support
Limited X-RAY License may be sufficient depending on experience
