Job Description Saint Luke's East in Lee's Summit is looking for a Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our highly supportive and collaborative team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support both the inpatient and outpatient settings at this location. You will initiate actions to improve nursing practice, patient care and unit processes to ensure our vision, "The best place to get care. The best place to give care." is maintained.
Shift Details: This position is PRN. Our biggest need is on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Responsibilities:
- Perform wound care assessments
- Demonstrate increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritize appropriately
- Serve as a day to day resource to colleagues at unit and departmental levels
- Collaborate with physicians
- Assist with quarterly surveys
We are looking for nurses who enjoy collaborating with various professionals, who are excited by teaching others and can work well independently. This is position will require a lot of autonomy in your day-to-day work. Strong communication and ability to educate others is required to be successful in this position.
