Position: High School Summer IT Assistants
Site: Location: 1000 Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089
Hours of the Shift: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 2 PM
Remote/OnSite: Onsite
Duration: June 1st until mid-August approximately or until project completion
Pay Rate: per hour
Dayforce used for time keeping

Must be 18 years or older

Job Description:
is seeking two motivated high school students to assist in deploying approximately 100 new computers across our factory and warehouse floor over the summer. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on IT experience in a professional environment.

Responsibilities:
Report to manager on progress and issues each day.

• Replace existing personal computers with new ones, and remove old ones for recycling

• Set up and connect new computers, including monitors, keyboards, and other peripherals

• Install and configure Microsoft Windows and other software as needed

• Ensure proper connections to the network (training provided)

• Follow step-by-step instructions for installation and setup

• Troubleshoot basic setup issues with guidance from IT support

• Provide basic assistance to employees transitioning to new computers

• Maintain an organized and clean workspace

• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and computer hardware setup

• Ability to hook up a new computer and peripherals correctly

• Some understanding of networks is helpful (training provided)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Good work ethic and positive attitude

• Ability to communicate effectively and ask for help when needed

• Must be reliable and punctual.

• Job requires lifting up to 20 pounds, bending, kneeling, and working extensively with your hands in a factory environment that is sometimes dusty. Also working at a desk and setting up new PCs with software.
