Workday Training Director


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the development and delivery of a comprehensive learning program for a large-scale user base implementing a new Workday platform.
  • Lead and manage internal training development and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure high-quality training materials are developed.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions to support implementation timelines.
  • Provide expert consulting and curriculum design services across organizational functions and leadership teams.
  • Design innovative learning products that address organizational needs through thorough problem diagnosis and solution design.
  • Adapt learning approaches based on varying organizational capabilities and needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to continuously evaluate and improve learning opportunities.
  • Apply Human-Centered Design principles to prioritize learner experience and create engaging training programs.
  • Manage third-party vendors involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions.
  • Maintain a strategic mindset and confidently challenge ideas when appropriate.
  • Report directly to the Chief Information Officer.

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • 8+ years of relevant experience in learning and development or a related field.
  • Master's degree or equivalent professional experience in Organizational Development or related discipline (preferred).
  • Strong background in design thinking and human-centered design.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder consulting and advisory roles.
  • Track record of working with vendors to create custom training programs.
  • Experience operating within a matrixed or center-of-excellence learning organization.
  • Subject matter expertise in Workday or similar ERP systems, including industry best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take projects from concept to execution.
  • Experience working in government, education, or public sector environments (preferred).
