Job Summary:
The Workday HCM Configuration Analyst is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the Workday Human Capital Management system to support HR operations. This role focuses on business process setup, data integrity, reporting, and user support, ensuring the system meets evolving business needs. The analyst partners closely with HR stakeholders to streamline workflows and maximize system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Compensation, Time, Absence, Benefits, and Reporting
- Build and maintain business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, and security roles
- Develop and optimize reports and dashboards for HR and business leaders
- Troubleshoot functional system issues and implement configuration-based solutions
- Support HR in process redesign, documentation, and system testing
- Provide Workday guidance and training to HR staff and end users
- Collaborate with IT as needed on system maintenance and integrations (limited technical responsibility)
- Assist with Workday feature releases and new functionality rollouts
- Ensure data accuracy and support bulk data loads using Workday-delivered tools (eg, EIBs)
- Maintain documentation, ensure adherence to change management practices, and stay current on Workday capabilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience
- Proficiency in configuring business processes, reports, and calculated fields
- Familiarity with Workday security roles and user permissions
- Strong data analysis and Excel skills
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with EIBs preferred (light use only)
- Workday certification a plus
