GDIT is seeking a Word Processor II to support the Information Management Communication Services Program at Fort Novosel. AL. Provide technical writing skills to draft, revise, or write materials and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of IT systems and other equipment e.g. reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books. How a Word Processor II will make an impact: Provide support services in a variety of clerical positions
Provide clerical support to the program with technical writing skills to draft, revise, or write materials which includes standardization for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, and related technical and administrative publications.
Prepare memorandums, presentations, briefings, operating procedures, and other documents and Government other requirements
Ensure material is organized and completed according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology; maintain records and files of work and revisions, select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material. Maintain documents in an electronic filing system
Prepare material for publication and distribution.
Other duties as assigned e.g.(draft speeches, articles, and public or employee relations releases, or specialize in writing material regarding work methods and procedures).
What you'll need to succeed:
Secret clearance High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite , Army365, MS Teams, SharePoint , MS Project, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat.
Knowledge of digital preparation using Army365 typing, duplication and distribution of material.
Computer literacy and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
Excellent communications skills
Comfortable gathering and disseminating information.
Ability to interface with a variety of personalities and rank and file employees.
Qualified with Army365 products (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) as well as Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of relevant regulations such as AR 25-50,AR 25-400-2 and industry standards.
