Word Processing Coordinator
Location: Newark, NJ
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A well-established law firm is seeking a Word Processing Coordinator to join its internal support team in Newark. This key role ensures smooth daily operations by managing workflow, coordinating incoming requests, and providing high-level document production support for attorneys and staff.
MUST have prior word processing experience to be considered for that role.
The Coordinator will prioritize and assign document-related tasks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong communication with requestors to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This position also involves hands-on document work-editing, formatting, converting, and organizing complex legal materials using Microsoft Office and other legal support software.
Ideal candidates are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, along with experience using PDF tools, document comparison programs, and OCR software. A strong understanding of legal formatting and best practices is essential.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in a legal support, document services, or administrative role-preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
