24 Seven is partnering with a well-known retail company based in Portland, OR to help them find a Women's Associate Product Merchandiser to join their team in this hybrid position. This a 3 month contract covering a leave of absence. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick time and more.
Ideal Candidate: holds a degree in Fashion Merchandising or equivalent experience, with at least 2-5 years working experience in the industry. They are also proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and have hands-on experience with PLM systems.
The Women's Associate Product Merchandiser supports key daily responsibilities across all stages of the product merchandising lifecycle. This role partners with the Senior Product Merchandise Manager to develop seasonal assortment strategies that align with the needs of the women's business, driven by a deep understanding of the customer and strong awareness of the competitive landscape.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist in developing seasonal line plans. Responsible for day to day maintenance and updates.
- Prepare business review of prior year season.
- Assist in developing seasonal strategy and product brief.
- Research and provide competitive analysis to inform seasonal pricing strategies by classification.
- Research and report on current industry and consumer trends.
- Track and manage development milestones against seasonal calendars
- Manage on-going business sales analysis according to established protocols and KPI's.
- Assist in creating and maintaining initial internal and outside fabric plans
- Manage sample lines, coordinating with Planning and Marketing to support timing of seasonal photo shoots.
- Provide merchandising direction for Marketing creative production teams for pricelist and look books, and provide styling direction for fashion photo shoots.
- Develop and maintain seasonal merchandising preview book used for communication and cross reference.
- Coordinate with Marketing on development of new special labeling, tags and packaging.
- Assist in preparing and conducting sales meeting line presentations, workshops and seasonal showroom reviews.
- Participate in fit sessions, sketch reviews and handovers.
- Support Sr Product Merchandise Manager as needed for the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Fashion Merchandising or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years of related industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experienced with PLM systems
• Available and able to travel for trade shows and market visits as needed
