Overview The Windows Systems Administrator role supports critical physical and virtual infrastructure across data centers and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Responsibilities include managing escalated tickets, deploying virtual machines, administering VMware vSphere, and maintaining enterprise hardware and applications. You'll also manage Active Directory, DNS, group policies, and print servers while collaborating with various teams and participating in an on-call support rotation. This position offers hands-on experience with diverse technologies in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities - Support critical physical and virtual infrastructure distributed across multiple datacenters and cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP) as a member of the Enterprise Operations Server Team.
- Monitor and manage ServiceNow queue for escalated tickets in compliance with established metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Perform virtual machine deployments and operating system support for Windows Server - Administer on-prem VMware vSphere 8 virtual environment
- Maintain and configure enterprise hardware including Hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), load balancers, firewall, and network switches
Manage infrastructure applications including enterprise password management, enterprise logging, and system health monitoring - Administer Active Directory, DNS, and group policy
- Manage enterprise print servers
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cybersecurity teams - Participate in On-Call support rotation
Qualifications - This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 5 years of experience. Applicants with an associate degree must have 7 years of experience or H.S. diploma with at least nine (9) years of relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in IT customer support
- Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance
- Strong technical understanding of Windows Server operating systems
- Experience supporting IT systems in an enterprise environment
- Must be able to work from 10 am to 7 pm on weekday
Desired Qualifications/Experience - Experience with infrastructure software including Datadog, Splunk, and Delinea Secret Server.
Experience with scripting, PowerShell - Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy management
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure and services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience in Healthcare Informatics
- CompTIA A+ Certified Professional
- CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional
- CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional
- MCSA, Azure Fundamentals
Basic Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 yearly salary The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates' skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicant's salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
