The Operational Technology Systems Administrator will support the technology, security and process guidance for Lam's labs and cleanrooms. The focus of this role is to help end users in the Lab environment and provide effective IT/OT systems to meet business requirements. They will manage the oversight of the engineering infrastructure (security controls, applications, network services, computer systems, file storage services, IoT, Azure Cloud, etc), and define, execute, and monitor overall delivery, reliability, and performance of the infrastructure and services which directly impact the lab's success.

Skills:

  • 5-7+ years of experience supporting an enterprise heterogeneous computing environment in areas of specialty
  • Excellent communication skills that facilitate productivity and collaboration among BU customers, GIS, and other support organizations, and outside IT vendors
  • Prefer working experience with Semiconductor/high tech/research industries
  • Working experience in a clean room is a strong plus.
  • 2 - 4+ years of hands-on experience installing and configuring Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows 10, 7, XP, and Legacy NT devices, and Unix/Linux computers
  • Network Connectivity Administration.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing connectivity infrastructure (including remote) and services.
  • Experience with end-to-end connectivity troubleshooting and resolving end-user connectivity issues
  • Security/Access Control Administration
  • Understanding of Security Infrastructure best practices
  • Experience supporting an OT technically diverse security infrastructure: Access Control, PKI Infrastructure, Firewalls, Anti-virus, etc.
  • Understanding and knowledge of security frameworks

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures approved projects and directives in support of business requirements are implemented promptly, tracks and reports progress as required, and escalates to management when customer expectations cannot be met
  • Management/support of all computing & network equipment in the lab/office infrastructure
  • Develops, implements, and maintains a roadmap for all computer devices in the Lab environment, consistent with global GIS polices and engineering groups' business requirements
  • Collaborate with global Lab operation support peers by hosting/attending sessions
  • Provides 1st-level and 2nd-level support. Act as a single point of contact for IT services and escalations. Interfaces with IT vendors when issues cannot be resolved internally by GIS
  • Monitors performance and makes appropriate tuning changes
  • Utilize approved procedures to ensure that hardware and software are deployed, implemented, and supported per business requirements and aligned to company standards/policies
  • Utilize GIS Change Control model when applicable to document the overall status of the Engineering Lab environment, including Asset Management/Tracking; Align to Corporate Change Control Board and Vendor/Supplier requirements as necessary
  • Participate in GIS projects to test, pilot, and/or implement new hardware and software as necessary in support of Engineering Lab activity/requirements
  • Maintain technical skills in areas of specialty
  • Monitor and report system and network policies related to non-compliance to supervisors
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation and technical diagrams
  • Other duties and functions to be as assigned.
