Winder Technician

Turtle Creek, PA

6+ Month Contract

Pay Rate: $18-20, W-2

Must be flexible to work any shift as required. Common shifts include 1st and 3rd, with weekends and overtime expected.

• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM - 7 AM
• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Candidates should be local.

• Wind coil on machine or directly into slots of rotors, stators, and armatures.
• Wind tape around coils by hand to insulate coils.
• Cut and form sheet insulation to fit slots.
• Insert coils into slots and pound to compress and shape windings.
• Paint coils with insulating varnish or enamel.
• Use brazing equipment consisting of induction, resistance, or torch.
• Obtain critical measurements and create wiring and blocking diagrams.
• Clean and prepare coils prior to winding.

• 2 years of winding experience.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime hours and shiftwork when needed.
• Good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style, and effective communication abilities.

• Mechanical skills.

• Proficiency with hand tools and measurement tools.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
