Description
Under general supervision, performs a variety of general customer service and administrative support functions/processes in support of the Georgia (WIC) Women, Infant and Children's program, including breastfeeding education and support. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Breastfeeding Program Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage the objectives and activities of the WIC Breastfeeding Buddy Program campaign within CCHD under the supervision of the Program Breastfeeding Coordinator.
  • Frontline management of the WIC Breastfeeding participant recruitment and marketing
  • Implement approved training and development activities for local agency staff and WIC breastfeeding participants via individual or group settings while utilizing appropriate training avenues/environments (in-person trainings, Microsoft Teams, Video Conferencing, etc.)
  • Assist with Coordination and scheduling of breastfeeding mothers participating in the local agency Buddy Program.
  • Collect, organize, and retain all required specific data and reports including participant demographic information, recruitment/caseload, objective milestones/outcomes.
  • Assist local and state agency with identifying barriers and effective solutions to all components of the breastfeeding support campaign.
  • Active and routine communication with supervisor appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned by Breastfeeding Program Coordinator and/or Project lead
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year competency as a WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor
  • Has one or more of the following skills and/or experience:
    1. Caseload management
    2. Counseling skills
    3. Supporting mother-baby dyad
    4. Social media marketing
    5. Developing, implementing, and facilitating training
    6. Organization skills
    7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.)
Additional Information
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who in addition to meeting the minimum qualification possesses the following:
  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition Education, Business Management, Marketing, or the equivalent
  • Expertise with social marketing campaigns, management of professional social media platforms and social media analytics
  • Experience with data collection and data management
  • Maintaining the Peer Counselor Database System (PCDB)
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to coach others to set priorities
  • Strong meeting planning and facilitation skills
  • Analytical skills with ability to create relevant reports for a variety of stakeholders
  • Able to work effectively in a high stress, changing environment
