Faith Group, LLC is headquartered in Saint Louis, MO and is a leader in providing design and consulting engineering services for clients requiring solutions to their facilities and infrastructure challenges. They are seeking a qualified Project Manager with expertise managing Wi-Fi projects for one of our clients in LA.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be a dynamic Wi-Fi Technical Project Manager or technical consultant who can help Project Leads, Directors and above with performing required delivery management and due diligence for business initiatives. The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects, including adhering to budgets, project timelines and accurate and timely invoicing of the project. We are looking for the candidate to be located in or around LA County.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Serve as primary point for multiple programs and projects related to enterprise-wide Wi-Fi deployment.
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensuring all safety standards are met.
  • Daily interactions with clients and potential customers including providing updates, progress trackers and attending on site meetings and presentations.
  • Manage and track performance across schedule, budget and quality parameters
  • Pro-actively identify potential project risk factors, communicate these to the project team and/or client, and work with construction managers internally and externally to mitigate
  • Working closely with the customer to ensure complete satisfaction
  • Strong attention to quality construction practices and ensuring timely close out and delivery of the project schedule.
  • Manages and handles requests like delivery management, solution assessments on behalf of client executive leadership
  • Work with Wi-Fi deployment and testing partners to obtain delivery statuses, identify delivery risks and assist with developing appropriate risk mitigation plans.
  • The position requires working independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Evening and weekend hours may be required from time to time in order to meet client needs.
Experience

Overall Experience:
  • Wi-Fi Experience
  • 5+ years of technical PM experience
  • Minimum 5+ years' work experience in Wi-Fi site development or similar project management experience in network deployment activities
  • Vendor management
  • Manage multiple large projects
Technical Experience
  • Strong familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies and implementations at enterprise scale (Cisco Systems, Commscope (formerly Ruckus Wireless), Aruba Networks, Juniper Mist, etc.)
  • Experience with WiFi professional site survey equipment and utilizing industry leading Wi-Fi planning software
  • Working knowledge of Layer-2 and Layer-3 switching and routing protocols
  • Experience with designing networks and LAN/WAN/WLAN/Mesh technologies based on industry best practices and specific client requests regarding specific Wi-Fi signal strength, signal coverage, device capacity, and data throughput requirements
  • Experience with successful 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz deployments
  • In depth knowledge of the latest Wi-Fi standards (Wi-Fi 6 - IEEE 802.11ax) and security (WPA3, IEEE 802.1x/EAP)
  • Capable of creating tailored wireless local area network (WLAN) design and specifications to meet client use cases, such as providing real time location services (RTLS) capabilities to clients for passenger and asset tracking
Other Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the Wi-Fi and networking technologies including a network of customers and subcontractors within the market.
  • Demonstrated mix of problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organization, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
  • Self-starter with willingness to ask for direction when needed and provide consistent leadership and guidance to team
  • Focus on deliverables to both internal and external clients
  • Highly developed oral and written communication/people skills. Able to create and present executive level presentations summarizing the status of projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products.
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and explain architectural solutions and sequence diagrams.
  • Must be a team player, able to work closely with cross-functional support groups
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task, flexibility and comfort in fast-changing and ambiguous environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Accustomed to a fast pace site deployment / launch environment experience ideal
  • Able to manage and interpret large amounts of data and assess opportunities and communicate risk and suggest mitigation plans.
  • Must have strong estimating abilities and knowledge of market pricing to review bids and estimates. Representing client on site walks or estimating from drawings and specifications.
Education
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or related degree.
Travel
  • Requires up to 80% time onsite for client local to LA County.
  • Occasional travel up to 20% for client sites external to LA County.
Security Clearance
  • This position will require the development, use and handling of Secure Sensitive Information (SSI) as governed by the Federal Government. Applicant must be able to pass criminal history record checks required to obtain security badges at many client facilities.
