As a
Wi-Fi Lab Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining
test environments, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the development of
next-gen Wi-Fi products. You'll work closely with engineers and vendors to ensure seamless lab operations and high-quality testing. Core Responsibilities
•
Lab Support & Maintenance - Resolve issues, manage upgrades, and ensure stable testbeds.
•
Testbed Setup & Configuration - Prepare hardware (OS installs, Wi-Fi module swaps, dual-boot setups).
•
Device Management - Install, upgrade, and debug Wi-Fi devices (routers, gateways, IoT devices).
•
Network Maintenance - Handle
Ethernet, DOCSIS, VLANs, and RF components (splitters, attenuators).
•
Inventory & Logistics - Track equipment, assist with purchasing, and manage shipping.
•
Documentation & Reporting - Maintain lab logs, update internal docs, and communicate findings. Required Skills & Experience
•
BS in Electrical/Network Engineering or related field.
•
3-4 years in
networking/wireless technologies.
• Strong grasp of:
- 802.11 Wi-Fi standards
- IP, DHCP, VLAN, IoT (Zigbee, Bluetooth, Thread)
- RF concepts (antennas, amplifiers, connectors)
• Hands-on with: - Packet capture (Wireshark, Omnipeek)
- Log extraction (Android/iOS debugging)
• Troubleshooting & root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours (nights/weekends if needed).
Preferred Skills • Experience with
