Job Summary:

The Cook II is responsible for preparing, cooking, and tracking product usage to help inform team leads and supervisors in making purchasing and service impacting decisions

This position starts 04/12/2025 and ends 09/01/2025.

Must be at least 16 years of age

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment as deemed necessary.
  • Fills customer order and completes sales transactions. Operates cash register and handles money.
  • Ensures food venue is clean, in order, and focus has been placed on attention to detail.
  • Safely preparing food, maintaining quality, adhering to recipes, and following food preparation training and expectations.
  • Selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray.
  • Notifies kitchen personnel of shortages or special orders and/or prepare special orders.
  • Serves cold drinks, frozen milk drinks, or desserts. Makes and serves hot/cold/frozen beverages.
  • Places beverages and food items on serving tray or in takeout container.
  • Prepare or Cook food products to specification.
  • Manage production to business needs and control waste.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures to ensure venue is clean and stocked.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to understand and correctly apply weights and measures to recipes
  • Able to complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.
Education and Experience:
  • Cash handling experience is preferred
  • Experience working with high-volume food preferred.

  • The ability to lift 20 pounds frequently to 60 pounds maximum
  • The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously
  • The ability to work in extreme weather frequently
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
  • The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions continuously
  • The ability to work at a rapid speed frequently
Work Environment:

A Cook II works primarily indoors in a kitchen environment of the water park, with occasional outdoor tasks in food service stands, kiosks, and food delivery areas. The role involves exposure to various weather conditions, uneven terrain, and moderate to high noise levels, often working independently. Cook II's use a variety of tools including phones, radios, and kitchen equipment to communicate and ensure quality guest experiences. Work includes collaboration with teams and mentors, with a focus on ensuring safety in the guest experience.
