Description
Position Overview: Under the direction of the Athletics/Aquatics Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor assists in the planning, organizing, coordinating and promoting aquatic recreation programs for adults and/or youth. Performs general management, administration and supervision of the Wet Zone Waterpark operation. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

Schedules employees and assigns work tasks following the guidelines given for the concessions or kiosk. Coordinates food orders with concession orders in a timely fashion. Responsible to follow all Stock Levels and Shelf Life for heating each item throughout the day. Responsible to follow all Health and Safety Codes while preparing and storing all food items. Follows all Fire Codes while preparing food items. Assures top quality food is served at all times. Maintains a safe food environment. Maintains food and paper supplies at appropriate stock levels. Maintains the building and area around the concessions and kiosk areas. Responsible for cash handling and supervision of all cashier staff. Responsible for daily deposits.

May serve as manager on duty in the absence of the Athletic/Aquatic Supervisor. Responds to public inquiries about recreation programs made by telephone, correspondence or during meetings. Responsible for the supervision of work units. May operate register in concession stand or kiosk as needed, collect money from guests and give change as needed. Assists with customer needs, cash register, stocking and cleaning. Opens and closes facility as needed. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned. Responsible for regular attendance and arriving to work on time.
Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Background in aquatics or recreation is desirable.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to supervise and assist with training and monitoring employees (adults, and college/high school students). Ability to manage recreation and waterpark personnel and daily functions.
Other Requirements

Will work a varying schedule, including weekends and holidays as designated by the Athletic/Aquatic Supervisor.

Valid Texas Driver's License. Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with the driving standards as established by the City of Rowlett. Must report all traffic citations to his/her supervisor within two working days of receipt.

Food Manager Certification required prior to operating season and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification preferred.
