Southwest Shipyard, LP provides gas freeing and cleaning services, steaming, and flaring services, Barge and boat repair, Surface preparation and painting, water treatment and new construction services to the commercial and government marine industry. Southwest Shipyard owns and operates four (4) shipyards in South Texas with direct deep-water access to the Gulf of Mexico. POSITION OVERVIEW:
In the role of Part-Time Field Welder Tester, you will be responsible for delivering welder test witnessing services to clients, including applicants and certified individuals adhering to welding standards. These services extend to unions and accredited testing centers. Your primary duties will involve conducting welder testing and evaluations for potential employee candidates, while also supporting the maintenance of relevant quality logs and sheets as a welding Auditor.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 12:00PM
What you bring to the table:

- Technical background and knowledge of the welding industry.
- Extensive knowledge of welding and testing standards.
- Practical Welding, Welding Inspector, Educator/Trainer or Welding Supervision background
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
