Position Summary

Edenbrook Yeadon is seeking a Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care to our residents over the weekend. This role is designed for those looking to make a significant impact while working just weekends-ideal for nurses seeking a flexible work schedule with a focus on patient-centered care. As a Weekend Warrior RN, you'll be responsible for overseeing nursing care during the weekend shift, providing assessments and medication administration, and leading nursing staff to ensure the well-being of our residents.

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday every other weekend - 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (no on-calls.)

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for residents during the weekend shift, ensuring that their health, comfort, and safety needs are met.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions as directed by physicians and care plans.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health, documenting any changes and informing the care team.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide personalized care.
Supervise and support nursing assistants and other staff members to ensure proper patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in resident charts and records.
Respond promptly to resident emergencies or urgent care needs.
Actively participate in care planning, ensuring that all care goals are met or exceeded.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and Edenbrook Yeadon policies.
Provide family members with updates on resident conditions and address any concerns.

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
1 year of clinical experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care (preferred).
Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
Compassionate and empathetic with a commitment to providing exceptional care.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and respond quickly in emergency situations.
