Key Responsibilities
  • WebLogic Administration: Manage and maintain WebLogic Server environments, including installation, configuration, and tuning.
  • System Analysis: Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability, addressing challenges such as user session persistence and session transfer issues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and observability.
  • Collaboration and Training: Work with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and provide training on WebLogic best practices.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Resilience Engineering: Implement solutions to improve system resilience, such as clustering WebLogic components, enabling session persistence, and improving observability.
  • Automation and Self-Healing: Develop and implement automation scripts for self-healing and monitoring, including automated restarts and observability-based monitoring.
  • Disaster Recovery: Enhance RTO/RPO with HOT-WARM strategies and automated disaster recovery processes.
Experience
  • 8-15 years of experience in software engineering or system administration, with a focus on WebLogic Server management and administration.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in WebLogic Server administration and related tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Java EE applications and middleware technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM for storage, and Dataguard for replication.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers on WebLogic practices.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Experience with chaos testing and resilience engineering practices.
