Web Developer (Networks and Cyber) - Billet 1726
Country Intelligence Group is seeking a Full-Time Web Developer (Networks and Cyber) to support our client located in McLean, Virginia. The selected candidate will perform a combination of Web Development, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Cybersecurity duties. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in IP networking, network security, cyber operations, and secure communication technologies to support the organization's critical cybersecurity and intelligence operations.
Job Description:
Work Requirements and Essential Job Functions:
• Develop, manage, and maintain secure web-based applications to support network and cyber operations.
• Design and implement IP networking security policies, practices, and secure network transport solutions.
• Utilize network analysis tools (Nmap, Wireshark, etc.) to evaluate and enhance security posture.
• Implement and maintain network security technologies, including firewalls, proxies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
• Support cyber operations and cybersecurity initiatives, focusing on defensive and offensive security methodologies.
• Design, evaluate, and manage covert communication technologies and mis-attributable internet system designs.
• Ensure cloud computing security across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Manage and secure operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Mobile OS) for both server and client environments.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and draft reports/memorandums detailing security risks and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and non-technical personnel to ensure security best practices are followed.
Education, Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience with IP networking and protocols, including secure transport practices and network security policies. (Required)
• Expertise in network security technologies, such as firewalls, proxies, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions. (Required)
• Strong background in cyber operations and cybersecurity methodologies, including both defensive and offensive security. (Required)
• Familiarity with covert communications technologies and mis-attributable internet system designs. (Required)
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security best practices. (Required)
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux, Mobile OS) and secure system architecture. (Required)
• Ability to research, analyze, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. (Required)
• Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. (Required)
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical individuals. (Required)
• Experience drafting technical risk assessments, reports, and memorandums for executive leadership. (Required)
• Experience with computer networks and their use in clandestine intelligence operations. (Preferred)
• Understanding of covert and clandestine communication technologies, including those used for data exfiltration, anonymization, and misattribution. (Preferred)
• Experience in evaluating counterintelligence threats and vulnerabilities related to cyber technology in intelligence operations. (Preferred)
• Familiarity with foreign intelligence and security service capabilities, including methods to detect, defend, and disrupt clandestine threats. (Preferred)
• Understanding of cellular technology, including network functions (SMS, MMS, Voice, Data) and system operations. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of wireless networking and RF technology, including clandestine technical collection capabilities and field operations. (Preferred)
