A leading water/wastewater utility construction company is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee the safety of its water/wastewater projects across Connecticut and Massachusetts. With a robust portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, and more, the Safety Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring safety, compliance, and the timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all safety aspects of water/wastewater construction projects to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel are aligned with safety standards.
Complete thorough accident reports and lead investigations into any workplace accidents or near misses.
Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) across all job sites.
Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards, ensuring proactive solutions are implemented to minimize risks.
Maintain thorough safety records, reports, and documentation as required for regulatory compliance.
Serve as a safety resource for project teams, providing guidance and training to maintain a high standard of safety across all work sites.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry, preferably in water/wastewater, heavy civil, or utility construction.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and best practices specific to water/wastewater construction.
Ability to conduct site inspections and enforce safety practices effectively across multiple projects.
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels of staff to promote a culture of safety.
