Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Lead strategic marketing and pursuit efforts for water/wastewater projects
- Identify and develop new client relationships and market opportunities
- Oversee proposal development, budgeting, and contract negotiations
- Contribute to long-term business planning and market expansion
Project Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and team performance
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular project reviews and performance evaluations
Project Execution
- Oversee engineering managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Set and monitor project goals, deliverables, and quality benchmarks
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Manage financial performance, invoicing, and change orders
Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop junior staff and project engineers
- Support training, performance feedback, and career advancement
- Participate in recruiting and team-building initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure
- Proven success in project delivery and client development
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Master's degree or PMP certification
- Experience with large-scale municipal or utility projects
- Familiarity with regional and federal regulatory frameworks
