Position Brand Description:

This position reports directly to the Warehouse Management and is responsible for the receipt, storage, control, and supply of all incoming and manufactured materials at the Lilly Branchburg central warehouse and associated on-site buildings utilizing SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management. Additionally, this role involves preparing international and domestic drug product shipments, receiving bulk product from Manufacturing, transferring drug product material between freezers, and intra-campus delivery of supplies and materials to support laboratory and manufacturing demand using company vehicles (van, box truck). This position may require occasional after-hours or weekend work to address warehouse emergencies or support manufacturing production needs. In addition, this position will perform other warehouse related duties at the direction of the Warehouse Management.


Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Manage for Results /Strategic Planning:

1. Receive, store and deliver incoming raw materials, supplies, end-user purchases, and gasses.

2. Process daily requests for materials to support of laboratory and manufacturing demand.

3. Prepare domestic and international drug product shipments.

4. Conduct physical inventory of gasses, submit gas orders, and process incoming gas deliveries on a weekly basis.

5. Perform accurate and timely cycle counts and full physical inventories of materials.

6. Transfer manufactured drug product material to and from the appropriate storage locations.

7. Assist with the systematic and physical disposal of expired materials.

8. Perform warehouse related tasks in strict compliance with cGMP principles and company policies and procedures

9. Intra-campus delivery of end-user purchases and materials consumed in the labs and/or manufacturing utilizing the company vehicle (Box Truck, van)

10. Perform weekly/monthly housekeeping tasks to ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean and organized manner.

11. Maintain the warehouse in a constant inspection ready state

12. Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and company-issued department vehicles in compliance with company-specific safety policies and procedures

13. Provide company-wide support for inventory-related concerns

14. Cross-train on all warehouse-related tasks to serve as a backup when needed.

15. Record warehouse-related activities in logbooks, adhering to ALCOA principles.

16. Strict adherence to all company safety policies including the use of PPE where required.

17. Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support to address warehouse emergencies or support manufacturing production needs


Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3-5 years of prior warehouse experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Preferences:

  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience with DOT (Department of Transportation) and IATA (International Air Transport Association) regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • SAP experience, specifically in IM (Inventory Management) and WM (Warehouse Management) modules.
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks
  • Proficient in computer usage with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with focus on completing tasks correctly the first time.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of bending, reaching, stretching, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces and cold rooms.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities.

Other Information:

  • Travel not required.
  • Lifting required (50 lbs.).
  • Required to be on call.
  • Shift work may apply.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$18.75 - $42.67

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
