Job Title: Warehouse Receiving Clerk
Reports To: Jerry McDougle, VP of Warehouse Operations
Location: Burlington, NJ
Days/Times: Sunday-Thursday (3:00 PM Start)
Job Description: The Warehouse Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving products, auditing, organizing, and overseeing job operations in the warehouse. This role involves managing inventory, maintaining records of goods received and shipped, and adhering to safety and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of warehouse operations, excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Receive incoming inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory including cycle counts and transfers.
- Check and inspect inbound inventory to ensure the products meets our Food Safety and Quality Standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and reports for inbound shipments.
- Ensures proper procedures are in place and being followed for efficient warehouse and shipping activities, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines.
- Must be able to effectively communicate required information to all involved personnel.
- Analyze and suggest methods to improve the audit process.
- Must effectively manage their time based on assigned workload.
- Recommends improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted goals.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Ensures the work area is clean and organized at all times.
- Collaborates with other departments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Trains and instructs employees about work performed. Oversees instruction, implementation, and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.
- Leads by example, this includes following Company policies, standards, and specifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: - One year of warehouse experience, preferred.
- Warehouse Management System experience, preferred.
- Ability to work for extended periods in temperature-controlled environments (refrigerated, frozen and ambient).
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be efficient with counting several items with accuracy for extended periods of time.
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to follow all Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Regularly required to stand and walk around the facility for most of the shift.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures.
- Ability to work overtime, if necessary.
