Job Description
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the efficient running of a busy production studio warehouse.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operations Manager
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including the receiving, storage, and handling of delicate items such as artworks.
- Oversee inventory control processes to ensure stock levels are accurately maintained.
- Conduct regular stock audits and manage inventory records with precision.
- Plan and implement improvements to warehouse layout and storage systems for optimal efficiency.
- Monitor equipment condition and arrange maintenance or replacements as required.
- Develop and refine warehouse procedures to support workflow, safety, and productivity.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to ensure seamless warehouse functioning.
- Coordinate the correct handling, packaging, and labelling of items for dispatch.
- Ensure all warehouse activities align with health and safety standards and legal regulations.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and conduct regular safety checks and training sessions.
- Oversee the proper use and upkeep of equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Key Skills of a Warehouse Operations Manager
- Extensive experience in warehouse and distribution operations management.
- Strong team leadership and operational coordination abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of inventory management and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with health and safety practices in a warehouse environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a structured, organised approach.
- Effective multitasking and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Full UK driving licence required.
