Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Driver & Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. This dual-role position involves ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers while also managing warehouse operations efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
We are seeking a responsible Driver/Warehouse Coordinator who's primary responsibilities include validating the receipt of orders, inventory handling and organization in an ERP system, job site delivery coordination, vehicle maintenance and other related duties. We work in a fast-paced environment and we sell custom materials to discerning construction customers. The new hire will need to be self-motivated and possess strong organization and communication skills. He/she will play a role in implementing inventory, shipping and receiving modules of Epicor's ERP system called Prophet 21 or P21, as we migrate from QuickBooks to an ERP system later this year. As such we require someone with skills in computers systems, warehousing, English speaking proficiency and possessing a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate receiving, warehousing, and delivery of materials to customers.
- Responsible for inventory handling; validate the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, logs paperwork and communicates with the respective parties, noting and reporting discrepancies and damage, routing/storing.
- Operate a pallet jack and fork lift to store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with safe storage methods.
- Processes outbound shipments by validating the outbound order, coordinating delivery schedules ensuring that ownership of material is transferred.
- Maintains an inventory system by organizing and documenting movement of all materials while conducting regular cycle counts and requesting an order when needed.
- Maintains physical condition of the warehouse by organizing layout, and ensuring overall cleanliness of warehouse.
- Initiates transport and tracks RGA's with vendors; tracking freight expenses and confirming transfer of ownership.
- Maintains samples.
- Manage fleet vehicles to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Assist with general office repairs and upkeep.
- Maintains warehouse operations in accordance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GRE or equivalent required
- Proven experience as a delivery driver / Warehouse Coordinator or in a similar role. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a warehouse performing similar responsibilities.
- Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Net Suite or Epicor is preferred
- Possess intermediate skills in MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel)
- Possess experience working with QuickBooks preferred but not required
- Possess a strong understanding of how warehouse interacts with other departments and the document flow between them
- Possess forklift certification or be able to quickly obtain certification
- Must be able to pay attention to detail and work well with others; self-starter that can prioritize and work independently
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Intermediate computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
