The Warehouse Manager oversees all daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and organized processes. Responsibilities include managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, supervising warehouse staff, and optimizing workflows to meet organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements policies and procedures governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and/or supplies.
- Supports the organization's supply chain strategy through maintenance of appropriate inventory levels and timely distribution of goods.
- Tracks inventory by performing physical counts and verifying information against warehousing systems.
- Ensures warehouse operations comply with regulations governing materials handling, storage, and distribution where applicable.
- Oversees the accuracy of inventory counts and ensures that all items are properly stored and tracked within the warehouse.
- Oversees inventory reports to monitor stock levels and identify trends.
- Implements best practices to optimize inventory control processes and reduce waste.
- Oversees incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Oversees the loading and unloading of trucks and ensures that all shipments are properly packaged and labeled.
- Maintains accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and delivery receipts.
- Identifies opportunities to improve warehouse processes and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and effective warehouse operations.
- Trains and supervises warehouse staff to ensure compliance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Conducts regular safety inspections and ensures that all warehouse staff are properly trained in safe operating procedures.
- Implements and maintains emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all employees in the event of an emergency
- Regularly leads and directs the work of other employees.
- Exercises authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, promotion, and separations within the department.
- Oversees the overall operations of the department, ensuring teams meet performance targets.
- Applies discretion and independent judgment in decision-making for departmental operations and issues.
- Primarily engaged in a managerial capacity, the worker is integral to enterprise management, overseeing employee training, determining changes in employee status, assigning job duties, drafting management policies, addressing disciplinary issues, and ensuring strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
Requirements:
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
- Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
- Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time.
- Ability to operate forklift and pallet jacks.
- Ability to work in multi-temperature environments, hot or cool.
- Be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
