Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift/Warehouse Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe working environment. This role involves efficiently moving materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Use forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing damage.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by tracking stock movements and reporting discrepancies.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, perform regular equipment inspections, and report any hazards or maintenance needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production and shipping teams to coordinate material movements and meet production schedules.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, contributing to overall facility cleanliness and efficiency.
- Order Preparation: Assist in preparing orders for shipment by picking, packing, and loading products onto pallets or trailers.
- Quality Control: Identify and report any damages or quality issues with products or equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate heavy machinery safely.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Basic proficiency in English to follow instructions and communicate with team members.
- Work Schedule: Availability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift Certification: Valid OSHA certification to operate forklifts.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or RF scanning devices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with occasional overtime.
