General Summary

Provide support for daily branch operations, ie make deliveries, pull orders, and put away stock.

Essential Job Functions

1. Have and maintain a valid driver's license

1. Make deliveries to and pick-ups from customers, other branches/warehouses, and vendors/suppliers

1. Pull orders for customers

1. Load and unload shipments/deliveries using proper equipment

1. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance functions according to DOT regulations.

1. Comply with all federal, state and company requirements pertaining to motor vehicle laws and accident reporting.

1. Keep up daily trip logs, pre and post inspection reports, monthly fuel reports

1. Prepare product for shipment via UPS, FedEx and common carrier

1. Receive shipments from UPS, FedEx and common carrier

1. Handle and process paperwork on damaged product.

1. Prepare Returns and Reclaims for shipment including appropriate paperwork

1. Break down and put away stock using proper equipment

1. Greet customers promptly and courteously by name (if known)

1. Answer telephones promptly and courteously identifying yourself and the company

1. Regular and punctual attendance

Other Job Functions

1. Assist at counter as needed

1. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment inside and out; ie, empty trash, sweep floors, clean bathroom(s), etc.

1. Perform related jobs as required

Skills and Physical Abilities

1. Meet the following physical requirements
2. All DOT medical and drug-free requirements
3. Ability to carry at least 75 pounds
4. Lift boxes up to 3.6 cubic feet/105 lbs (4-5 hours daily)
5. Sit in, get into/out of vehicle cab (2-3 hours daily)
6. Steer and drive vehicle (also shift a standard transmission) (as required)
7. Ability to climb ladders

1. Ability to use computer system as pertains to the job

1. Ability to get along with customers and other employees, follow directions and work under pressure
