Position: Warehouse Clerk

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Maintain an accurate count on inventory while keeping the stockroom neat and orderly. Pull parts, as needed to satisfy the material requirements of assembly orders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to the following)
  • Receive parts from Inspection
  • Fill and transact work orders, purchase orders, and sales orders.
  • Ensure FIFO is followed for all transactions including stock, overstock, and order picking
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to the physical count of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
  • Provide material reports and certifications for required customer orders
  • Maintain lot control accuracy through the ERP system and established procedures
  • Keep the area safe, clean, and organized
  • Follow all safety codes
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Receive incoming parts
  • Ship finished goods
  • Make labels and certs

Required Qualifications/Work Experience

Education
  • High School Diploma, GED, and/or equivalent warehouse inventory experience and/or training.
Experience
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, office machines, Windows, and MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of English language usage, spelling, and math.
  • Ability to multi-task, identify, and solve problems as well as manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand engineering drawing and use of inspection tooling is a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus. On-site training will be provided for facility certification.
Physical Requirements

In this position, you will be expected to lift and transport items weighing up to fifty pounds, maintain clear vision for reading and computer work, and effectively communicate in person and over the phone. Additionally, you should be comfortable using standard office equipment and wearing appropriate safety gear. Reasonable adjustments can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work will mostly be performed indoors in a controlled environment. Some exposure to the manufacturing and shop areas, which are air-conditioned.
