About the Role:We are currently recruiting for a proactive and dependable
Warehouse Assistant to join a well-established manufacturer of garden buildings. This is a hands-on role where you will support dispatch operations, stock control, and the loading/unloading of deliveries. The successful candidate will hold a valid
Counterbalance Forklift Licence and be comfortable working independently.
Key Responsibilities: - Review daily customer order manifests and prepare required orders.
- Update stock control systems related to orders and inventory.
- Coordinate and oversee the unloading and loading of lorries, ensuring timely dispatch of garden products.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Replenish timber stock and products to designated orders.
- Maintain communication with management regarding warehouse operations.
- Use a PC to update stock control systems, process orders, and communicate via email
Requirements: - Proven experience in a warehouse or dispatch role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities without direct supervision.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Certificate.
- Basic computer skills for updating stock control and order processing systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items
