Title: Administrative Assistant
Pay: $21.00/hr
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: Onsite - Morton Grove, IL
Duration: 1-year assignment
Job Description The Administrative Assistant will support warehouse operations by managing data entry, inventory control, communication, and general office tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities - Data Entry & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Process shipping orders, receipts, and related warehouse documentation.
- Ensure all shipments are recorded in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Inventory Control Support
- Assist with inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Generate reports, identify discrepancies, and support stock audits.
- Communication & Coordination
- Act as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and drivers regarding shipment status and orders.
- Assist in scheduling deliveries, pickups, and logistics needs.
- File Management & Organization
- Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for warehouse documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on document storage and retrieval.
- Customer Service
- Address customer and supplier inquiries regarding shipping status, order tracking, and inventory.
- Help resolve issues related to shipping errors or damaged goods.
- General Office Support
- Handle clerical duties such as answering phones, emails, and scheduling meetings.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and other required documentation.
Required Skills - Strong computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and WMS software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Education Requirements - High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's Degree or higher preferred).
