Web Team Student Intern Student Employment
Position Summary This paid student position supports the daily operations of the Westminster College website using a content management system and other related software. Additional projects that match your interests and skills can be assigned as they are available. A consistent schedule during regular business hours is required in order to work alongside others on the web team and learn web design and development hands-on. This position can be paid through work study funding.
Primary Responsibilities - Update website content and design following web best practices and brand standards.
- Implement accessibility, usability, and SEO standards, including mobile-first design.
- Create and publish campus digital signage.
- Edit photos using responsive image size standards and brand styles.
- Update Instagram post feeds.
- Create and edit online forms.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues with website design and development.
- Create documentation and inventories to support larger web projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly
- Good organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Familiarity with jQuery is a plus
