Vulnerability Analyst (Junior) to work in our
Windsor Mill, MD office.
Iron Vine, an ECS Federal company, is a rapidly growing information security and information technology company in Fairfax, VA. We are looking to hire a Junior Vulnerability Analyst to provide a full range of cyber security services on a long-term contract in Baltimore, MD. The position is full time/permanent and will support a US Government civilian agency. The position is available immediately upon finding a qualified candidate with the appropriate background clearance.
The Junior Vulnerability Analyst will support a wide array of information systems and security technologies in a highly federated government environment. The ideal candidate for this position is a fast learner, good with communication, has experience with networking equipment, and is well-versed in Windows-based computing solutions, and networking protocols.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to.
- Utilize security tools to identify and analyze system, database, and web application vulnerabilities.
- Monitoring vulnerability scans and the status of scanning appliances in enterprise datacenters.
- Researching and troubleshooting networking issues and events to find root-cause analysis.
- Participating in deployment meetings, reviewing network topologies to place scanners in proper areas of networks to gain visibility to assess security posture.
- Running scheduled and ad hoc security reports detailing enterprise security posture.
- Coordinate Corrective Measures - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate and oversee corrective measures for identified vulnerabilities. Address zero-day exploits promptly to minimize the window of exposure.
- Vulnerability Response Processes - Evaluate and improve vulnerability response processes to streamline identification, assessment, and remediation. Develop and implement procedures for efficient communication and collaboration during vulnerability management efforts.
- Threat Intelligence Integration - Integrate threat intelligence into vulnerability management processes to stay ahead of emerging threats. Utilize threat intelligence to enhance proactive identification and mitigation of potential vulnerabilities.
- Reporting and Metrics - Generate regular reports on vulnerability management activities, including progress, risk reduction, and key performance indicators. Provide insights to leadership on the organization's vulnerability landscape.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
