VTC Technician with Security Clearance

Design, upgrade, install and maintain coaxial cable and fiber infrastructure for the existing cable plant. Support Enterprise Legacy RF CATV Distribution as well as newer QAM/DTV Solutions. Support and maintain the video operations center team copper and fiber technologies. Provide in depth knowledge of termination equipment, methodologies, and splicing techniques Required Qualifications/Certifications: Technical experience in commonly used installation, termination, testing procedures and standards Knowledge of associated hardware, equipment and specifications as they pertain to Network Topologies and/or Telecommunication Voice/Data Systems. One of the following certifications is required. BICCSI, CATV Head End, Exfo/Tberd, Fusion Splice, OTDR Experience with cable termination, testing, cable rack preparation, layout and installation, and documentation. Candidate must have a total of 10 years of applicable experience. The experience can be a combination of degree and work history. This can be a High School degree and 10 years of work history OR an Associate's and 8 years, a Bachelors' and 6 years, a Masters and 4 years or a PhD and 0 years of work history.
