ITC has an opening for a VTC Engineer in support of a law enforcement Agency. Provide systems, customer, and project support through optimization, design, and/or maintenance efforts across a large-scale environment. The environment is largely Polycom and Cisco VTC systems. JOB OVERVIEW Provide systems, customer, and project support through optimization, design, and/or maintenance efforts across a large-scale environment. The environment is largely Polycom and Cisco VTC systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and processes. Provide problem diagnosis and resolution of problems. Administer, maintain, and provide engineering support for Cisco and Poly VTC technologies Provide Tier 3 support on VTC systems The VTC Engineer will support, install VTC (Video Teleconferencing) equipment and supporting systems in a complex environment Maintain users and certificates, ensure all software and patches are installed and up to date Create cost estimates and bill of materials for projects Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands Requires limited supervision, self-starter, strong time management skills Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment Verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues Responsibilities Provide support to User Community for ICE specific Telecommunications business needs and services. Ensure Avaya system requirements are met, including third-party software and/or hardware Application support for custom app groups within the ICE specific network. Collaborated with clients and sales staff to support projects and service requests Provide 24/7 Production Outage Recovery Support Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for training dynamic workforce Provided end-user training remotely and in person. Create and Maintain documentation, Reports, SOPs, Data Spreadsheets, etc. Submit Weekly Status Reports Qualifications REQUIRED: Five (5) years of VTC experience Bachelor's degree or 2+ years additional experience Knowledge of Polycom and Cisco VTC systems in a large multi-site environment Familiarity with Cisco WebEx and Cisco Control Hub Knowledge of network, voice, and video protocols (such as SIP and H.323) Working knowledge of video gateways (ISDN IP) Familiar with quality-of-service configuration for voice and video equipment Familiar with conference room Audio/Visual equipment Current or ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
