Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose: VP, Solution Architect, Servicing Apps, will provide leadership and technical expertise for development and support of Telephony Integrated Custom Servicing Applications.
This role will involve oversight of multiple SaaS or COTS applications, agile teams and GDC delivering servicing applications, cloud and microservices applications and leading critical initiatives across multiple CST Orgs.

Essential Responsibilities: - Responsible for the development and support of Servicing Applications for Debt Manager Recovery, Collections, Vision+, including SaaS or COTS Applications.
- Work closely with Synchrony and Supplier technical resources and product managers to translate overall system architecture and product requirements into well-designed software components.
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and provide recommendations to the development team.
- Drive root cause analysis and ensure consistently high availability for the business to ensure they meet their objectives.
- Identify new opportunities to drive system improvements and simplifications through innovation.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies while maintaining proficiency in existing technologies
- Build strong teams of technical resources, motivate resources, and retain critical skills
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience on Java, J2EE, Web Services (SOAP, REST), jQuery, Struts, Hibernate and Spring.
- 3+ year experience in architecting SaaS or COTS applications.
- 5+ years' experience in designing and developing applications using microservices architecture and cloud technologies like Springboot, PCF, AWS, Maven, BitBucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Angular, Bootstrap and Splunk.
- 5+ year experience in agile software development practices.
- Good understanding of SDLC processes and release management processes.
- Proven analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior oral and written communication
- Willing to work flexible shift timings to be able to respond to emergencies

- Strong business acumen including a broad understanding of financial services business processes and practices
- Previous Consumer Finance experience, or other credit card processing experience
Grade/Level: 12 The salary range for this position is
135 000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements: - You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
