About this Role

The Salesforce Product Manager will be responsible for managing our customized Salesforce application, ensuring seamless integration with the firm's master data management and external partners. This role requires a strong technical background, with a preference for Salesforce expertise. The position sits within a team of product managers and will focus on enhancing and maintaining integrations that support business users in meeting client needs and onboarding new partners and operating models onto the platform.

The role involves maintaining roadmaps for multiple Salesforce audiences, identifying and implementing enhancements, collaborating with internal and external teams, and supporting implementation and change management efforts. This is a high-impact and highly visible position within SMA Solutions technology, requiring an understanding of Salesforce, API-driven integrations, and enterprise data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions to understand business priorities for designing and optimizing integrations to the Salesforce platform.
  • Contribute to the Salesforce platform roadmap and strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Prioritize and manage initiatives and features based on business needs.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technical requirements to engineers.
  • Document functional business requirements, process flow diagrams, and business cases.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) from project inception through its lifecycle.
  • Design and recommend functional solutions using industry best practices.
  • Manage integration projects to ensure alignment with agreed-upon timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure seamless data integration between Salesforce and master data sources.
  • Capture and translate business requirements into system requirements for architects and engineers, with a focus on Salesforce integrations and user workflows.
  • Ensure business requirements evolve into user documentation and are published alongside feature releases.
  • Drive adoption of new system features by working closely with QA engineers and organizing UAT sessions.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in product management or in process improvement, engineering, or project management, preferably in financial services.
Salesforce experience preferred.
Experience with data integration, APIs, relational databases, data modeling & governance is a plus.
2+ years of working proficiency with databases and writing basic SQL queries.
2+ years of experience working with CRM platforms (eg, Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics) and integrating them with central data repositories.
Experience with Salesforce Sales, Service, or Financial Services Cloud is a plus.
Understanding of Salesforce and/or other CRM object models, platform security, and configuration of workflows, validation rules, Flow, roles, public groups, profiles, reports, and dashboards is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Salesforce Certified Administrator.
