This is a leadership role for a seasoned sales executive with deep expertise in IT services and digital transformation within the manufacturing sector. As the Regional Industry Lead for Business Development, you will be responsible for executing a strategic growth agenda, working closely with a high-calibre team to drive consultative sales, secure large enterprise deals, and establish high-value relationships with C-level executives (CEO, CFO, CIO, CPO, CDO, etc.) at major manufacturing firms.
The scope spans Automotive OEMs, Auto Tier-1s, Industrial Manufacturing, Chemical & Process, Agriculture & Forestry, and Pulp, Paper & Packaging industries. The ideal candidate will play both a leadership and hunter role, managing a team while actively pursuing new clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to drive multi-million-dollar deals across the manufacturing industry.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with senior executives at major enterprises to drive solution-led sales.
- Lead end-to-end business development, from initial outreach to deal closure, including RFI/RFP responses, client workshops, and contract negotiations.
- Work in partnership with pre-sales, large deal teams, and delivery teams to craft tailored digital and IT transformation solutions that align with client needs.
- Achieve and exceed revenue and sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Position the company as a strategic partner to clients by aligning with the CEO's agenda and driving proactive deal creation.
- Strengthen the company's brand visibility and reputation in the manufacturing sector through thought leadership and client engagement.
Requirements:
- 20+ years of experience in selling IT services, with at least 10 years in North America.
- A proven hunter mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets and securing large enterprise deals.
- Deep understanding of Manufacturing and Industrial markets, with strong connections in the sector.
- Experience working with offshore teams and global delivery models.
- Strong expertise in IT managed services, ERP transformation, digital services, BPO, and engineering solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing complex sales cycles (typically 6-9 months).
