Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and overseeing the controllership function for North America. Play a strategic role in financial analysis, developing budgets, and establishing forecasts to drive operational efficiency and sustainable growth. Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

What You Will Do:

Controllership
  • Monitor financial processes closely, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting
  • Identify and act upon cost-saving or financial optimization opportunities
  • Oversee controllership function
  • Evaluate financial controls to ensure robustness and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with existing key internal controls and process framework
  • Identify areas of potential process improvement

Financial Analysis
  • Oversee and build regional budgets with departmental and location breakdowns
  • Establish rolling forecasts for regional performance
  • Develop robust trend analysis from historical data. Use analyses to draw conclusions and actionable insights.

Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Collaborate with Regional Senior Leadership and act as a financial business partner to develop and execute strategies that drive operational efficiency and sustainable growth.
  • Identify and define KPI's, aligned with business strategy. These activities should occur collaboratively with other functions and should be designed to provide measurable insights.

Financial Systems and Processes
  • Evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Drive automation and integration initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce manual efforts.
  • Provide training and support to finance staff on system usage and best practices.

Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Shape and execute the organization's vision and strategy, lead by example to foster a culture of excellence, accountability, innovation, and inclusiveness across all levels. Drive organizational growth and effectiveness to develop and implement high-level initiatives that prioritize diversity and inclusion.   • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching to support individual and team development
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to achieve departmental goals and organizational objectives

Qualifications

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelors required

Experience Qualifications
  • 10+ Years of progressive experience in a corporate accounting and/or manufacturing environment required
  • 5+ Years of experience as a people manager with a proven record of successfully leading, directing and coaching required
  • 7+ Years of experience in a controller environment performing traditional accounting activities required
  • Strong knowledge of financial budgeting, GAAP accounting, tax reporting regulations, and compliance
  • Able to use Microsoft Office Applications including expertise in Microsoft excel
  • Experience in OneStream and SAP a plus

  • Ability to influence across the organization at senior levels and to become a proactive, trusted advisor and thought leader on strategic issues to drive results
  • Strong oral, written and formal communication and presentation skills including ability to communicate complex financial issues in a simple way
  • Experience collaborating with and delivering presentations to Executive Leadership Teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills: work well as part of a cross-functional team and able to interact at all levels
  • Previous experience leading others with the ability to engage, inspire & influence people required; leading leaders or managers preferred
  • Strong change leadership skills required. Must have demonstrated ability to proactively drive change within a business to enhance business results

Additional Requirements
  • 5% of time traveling as needed

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
