Peak Partners has a Non- Profit High School client who is a who is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Operations serves as an integral member of the senior management team. The right candidate will be able to develop the school's financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization's strategic goals. In addition to the strategic components, the VP will be charged with leading, developing and implementing operational policiesand procedures both in the finance and general operational realms.


Essential Functions:


  • Advise the president and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic goals and objectives as well as the overall management of the organization.
  • Represent the organization with the organization's banking, insurance, lease negotiations, and human resources matters.
  • Coordinate the collection of annual Conflict of Interest statements for the Board of Trustees. In conjunction with the Finance Committee and the President, review all statements.
  • Work collaboratively with key members of senior management to assess and approve the facility and capital requests to ensure we are meeting CRJ strategic goals.
  • Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the business office.
  • Maintain internal control systems, policies and procedures, and accounting standards to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Oversees and leads the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Administer operational accounting services such as treasury management, 403-B plan, payroll, accounts payable, and purchasing in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and leads the annual audit process.
  • Track endowment performance and coordinate review of gift agreements to ensure alignment with donor intent; work closely with Advancement to ensure that pledges are appropriately documented, tracked, and classified.

Qualifications:


  • CPA required
  • At least 10 years of overall professional experience; ideally six-plus years of broad financial and operations management experience
  • Experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant program area, and has preferably overseen a human resources function previously
  • Must be familiar with nonprofit finance eand accounting regulations
