We are looking for a dynamic and seasoned professional to join our team as a Permanent VP of Construction. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing company in the construction industry and make a significant impact on our operations. The VP of Construction will have the responsibility of overseeing all construction operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, managing metal construction projects, steel erection, operations management, forecasting, budgeting, contract negotiation and implementation of standard operating procedures. The VP of Construction will also be involved in architectural and engineering projects and will need to understand federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Develop and implement construction operations strategies, plans, and procedures, ensuring alignment with the company s overall business goals.
3. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations, fostering a culture of safety across the organization.
4. Manage metal construction and steel erection projects, ensuring efficiency and quality in execution.
5. Lead operations management, including resource allocation, job sequencing, and workflow management.
6. Conduct forecasting and budgeting activities to support financial planning and profitability.
7. Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
8. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
9. Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure the successful execution of projects.
10. Stay abreast of federal and state regulations and ensure compliance in all construction operations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role in the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in overseeing construction operations, safety management, metal construction, steel erection, and operations management.
4. Solid understanding of financial management principles, including forecasting and budgeting.
5. Experience in contract negotiation and management.
6. Familiarity with standard operating procedures in the construction industry.
7. Strong knowledge of architecture and engineering principles.
8. Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to the construction industry.
9. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
10. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
11. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
