The Opportunity:
The VP of Prestige Field Sales resides on the East Coast and is a key driver of commercial strategy across the U.S., leading a high-performing national field team and overseeing the execution of impactful marketing calendars. This pivotal role is focused on cultivating strong, lasting partnerships with wholesale and beauty specialty retailers, while consistently championing brand equity at every consumer touchpoint. With a sharp focus on growth, this leader plays an essential role in expanding market share and elevating each Prestige brand's individual presence across the retail landscape. Our Prestige beauty brands include Carolina Herrera, Rabanne, and Jean Paul Gaultier.
What you'll get to do:
Sales:
- Drive the execution of profitable sales plans and the expansion of market share by guiding and empowering a high-performing team
- Partner closely with leadership to align sales objectives with broader company goals, integrating education and marketing strategies to support sustained growth
- Work in collaboration with the SVP of Sales to define retailer-specific sales targets and inform annual and seasonal strategies, with a focus on key markets and high-priority doors
- Oversee the strategic allocation of the freelance Beauty Advisor budget, ensuring effective use of resources and continuous evaluation of return on investment in partnership with the field team
- Act as a close partner to the President of North America and SVP of Prestige Sales to identify emerging trends and evolving customer needs, driving both near- and long-term business opportunities that support category and brand growth
Talent Development:
- Partner with internal stakeholders and HR to foster top-tier talent and support strategic succession planning
- Provide clear and consistent direction to Field Executives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and maintaining focus on performance excellence
- Adapt national strategies to reflect regional needs, enhancing education and marketing efforts without compromising each brands integrity and DNA.
- Stay aware of shifts in consumer behavior, competitive dynamics, and market trends to keep the team informed and agile
- Support talent development through regular store visits, team meetings, and one-on-one coaching
- Encourage feedback from retail partners and stakeholders, always prioritizing the growth and capability-building of the team
Business Partnerships:
- Serve as a strategic liaison between the U.S. field and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Education, Marketing, Planning, Merchandising, and Finance
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key retail partners, collaborating on marketing calendars, new product introductions, and growth-driving initiatives
- Provide senior leadership with ongoing insights into account opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends
- Lead space and location negotiations to ensure each brand maintains in highly visible areas with elevated presence in store environments
- Continuously monitor account performance and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and maximize business potential
We'd love to meet you if you have:
- 15+ years of experience in sales leadership with a strong track record of delivering sustained growth and commercial success
- In-depth knowledge of the cosmetics and beauty industry, with the ability to apply market insights to shape and drive strategic direction
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate large, geographically dispersed teams while setting a clear vision and developing top talent as a competitive advantage
- Deep appreciation for brand equity-consistently upholding brand standards and ensuring quality across all customer and partner interactions
- Strong understanding of prestige beauty and the consumer behaviors that drive purchasing decisions
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to serve as the voice of the Field and effectively translate insights from consumers and teams into strategic initiatives
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for working cross-functionally and across regions to drive alignment and shared success
- Well-developed financial and business acumen, with the ability to build accurate sales forecasts, identify opportunities, and manage risk effectively
- Resilient and solutions-focused leader, capable of developing and executing strategies that balance immediate business needs with long-term growth
- Microsoft Suite with excellent Excel and Power Point knowledge
- Ability to travel domestically 50- 60% and occasionally international
Compensation:
As required by New York State's salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $230,000.00 - $270,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
